Now Turkey’s Ministry of Defense has responded by attacking PKK targets in Iraq with warplanes.
Terrorists have been “neutralized,” according to Turkish news agency Anadolu.
Turkey has attacked 20 targets in northern Iraq belonging to the Kurdish organization PKK, writes the Turkish news agency Anadolu and refers to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The attack is said to have been carried out with warplanes and aimed at, among other things, shelters and depots.
The Ministry of Defense states that several terrorists have been “neutralized”.
The PKK is labeled a terrorist by Turkey, the EU and the US.
Airstrikes after terrorist attacks in Ankara
In a statement, the ministry writes that it will continue to attack terrorists “until there is not a single terrorist left”.
“Terrorists will not be able to escape the end that awaits them,” reads the statement according to Turkish Cumhuriyet.
The attacks are carried out on the same day that a terrorist attack took place at the Turkish Ministry of the Interior in Ankara.
