Turkey arrested 37 people from “provocation” on social media Brief news

In Turkey, authorities have arrested 37 people for the distribution of “provocative” material on social media, the country’s the Interior Ali yerlikaya reported on Thursday.

Earlier Wednesday of the Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem ̇mamoğlu was arrested as part of a police investigation related to terrorism and corruption.

The other two mayors have also been caught, AP reports.

On Thursday, hundreds of students protested with arrests in Istanbul, despite the temporary prohibition of organizing demonstrations in the city.
