Türk Telekom increased the length of its fiber network across the country to 435 thousand kilometers with the field operations carried out in Çanakkale on the night connecting 2023 to 2024. The works carried out in Karacaören Village show Türk Telekom’s determination to strengthen fiber infrastructures across the country. Thanks to these infrastructure investments, Türk Telekom fiberized the historical Gallipoli Peninsula and Gökçeada by installing lines from many different points under the sea.
Fiber internet infrastructure was established around Çanakkale
Providing 1000 Mbps internet service in 11 of the 12 districts of Çanakkale, Türk Telekom increased the fiberization rate, including rural areas, to 97 percent in Çanakkale Center. In addition, fiberization rates of 94 percent and 96 percent were achieved in Gelibolu and Gökçeada.
The fiber infrastructure provided on the Istanbul-Malkara-Çanakkale Highway route not only contributes to smart transportation systems, but also supports technologies that will increase driving safety. These infrastructure works of Türk Telekom aim to provide a more effective and faster service in the fields of communication, internet access and driving safety by strengthening the technological infrastructure throughout Turkey.
