Trying to lay down to victory

The Olympics are approaching and the Olympians are in Paris to get ready for the competition. Due to the fact that all the competitors are in the same so-called “Olympic village”, the management of the Olympics has had to act regarding the parties and sex lives of the Olympians.

In 2021, beds were installed in Tokyo that, according to management, would make it more difficult to have sex, an initiative to reduce the spread of covid-19. It has also been ensured that the Olympians have access to free condoms so that they can protect themselves during sex.

These anti-sex beds are being reused again this year, something like News24 previously written about. Several Olympians have complained that the beds are uncomfortable and small.

Jamina Roberts’ frustration with the beds in the Olympics

The handball player Jamina Roberts quickly tired of the beds and a Swedish representative to go to Ikea to buy a new mattress.

– The problem is not that it’s a cardboard bed, that’s perfectly fine. It is the mattress that is hard. It is brand new, it takes a while before you soften it. But we needed to sleep well right away, says Roberts in an interview with Expressen.

Ikea’s message to the Swedish handball ladies: “Lie down to victory”

And it would not be long before Norway was reached by this news.

In a post on their Instagram, Norwegian Ikea published a post where they wrote “There are rumors that the Swedish handball ladies are trying to win in Paris”. Expressen was the first to report on it.

At the same time, the Norwegian handball team replies in the comment field: “Thank you for that”.

Ikea removes the post: “Sounds a bit different…”

However, Norwegian Ikea quickly backtracked and deleted the post. In an interview with Expressen, Ikea’s press officer Stine Odland says that the news is exaggerated.

– Then we don’t want it lying around. It was something that happened here and now, she says the newspaper and continues:

– It sounds a little different in Norwegian and Swedish, I can understand that. It was just a reference to them buying new mattresses. You have to sleep well to perform well. We are cheering for both Sweden and Norway tonight.
