Former President Donald Trump’s trial in New York is in full swing.
But the pending federal lawsuit in Florida — involving the former president’s storage and handling of classified documents at the Mar-a-Lago residence — will be delayed.
The judge in the case, Aileen Cannon, announces that the trial will be postponed indefinitely.
According to the plan, the case would go to court on May 20, but Cannon does not believe that Trump and his lawyers have time to prepare sufficiently by then.
Cannon, appointed by Trump, has throughout the process taken his time with the preparations and has been accused of running the ex-president’s errands. In addition, the Trump side has appealed the indictment and demanded that it be dropped.
