The sexual harassment case of US President-elect Donald Trump has been concluded. In the written decision of the appeal court, “We concluded that there is no indication that the district court to which Trump objected made a mistake in its decision.” While the statement was used, it was also stated that it was decided that there was no need for a new trial in the case.
After the jury in the sexual harassment case decided to pay $5 million in compensation to Carroll, Trump appealed in September, claiming that the judge “made many mistakes” during the trial and requested a retrial of the case.
In another lawsuit filed by Carroll on the grounds that Trump insulted and slandered her by denying sexual harassment, the elected president was ordered to pay $83.3 million in compensation.
RAPE AND INSULT CASE!
Magazine writer E. Jean Carroll, 81, stated that Trump raped her in the dressing room of Bergdorf Goodman store in New York in the spring of 1996, but Trump denied the allegations.
Trump was found guilty by the jury in the “rape and insult” case filed by Carroll in May 2023, as a result of two weeks of hearings, and was sentenced to pay Carroll a total of $5 million in compensation, including $2 million for sexual harassment and battery and $3 million for defamation.
After the first legal victory, Carroll filed a second “damage compensation” lawsuit for $10 million in addition to the $5 million compensation he won against Trump, and on September 6, 2023, the judge found Trump responsible again in the case.
In the “damage compensation” case that started on January 16 in New York, a jury of 9 people ruled that Trump should pay an additional compensation of $83.3 million on January 26.
