Trumps rise can be explained by many things but above

The US presidential election is predicted to be a struggle between Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump. According to experts, Biden’s unpopularity improves Trump’s chances.

In the United States, a new president will be elected in about a year. CEO of the Nordic West Office, which follows US economy and politics Risto EJ Penttilä keep the current president Joe Biden further season as unlikely.

– Biden’s chances are bad. Now it has happened that Trump’s the rise can be explained by many things, but above all by Biden’s weakness, states Penttilä, who visited Ylen’s A-Talk.

According to Penttilä, the Democrats have turned against Biden because he is considered too old.

– Even in the circle of democrats, after a few drinks, they talk about “our Brezhnev”, says Penttilä, referring to the former leader of the Soviet Union Leonid Brezhnev.

Penttilä also raises the question of whether Biden is really old and why there are blunders. In his opinion, the bigger problem is the story that is being repeated on social media, for example with videos about Biden slouching.

At the moment, however, it seems that the final battle of the presidential election will take place between the current president, the Democrat Joe Biden, and the former president, the Republican Donald Trump.

– At least if the candidates of the parties are asked, that is the opinion, reflects the professor of North American studies Benita Heiskanen.

The situation is complicated by the fact that, according to Heiskanen, the governor of several states is still campaigning as if for the 2028 presidential election.

– I have a strong feeling that some kind of plan b is being planned, at least against the hypothetical situation that Biden would withdraw from the race for one reason or another.

Risto EJ Penttilä also considers it possible that Biden could announce that he will give up his presidential candidacy even before next summer’s party convention, in which case the backup plan would be put into use.

According to Heiskanen, it may also make strategic sense for Biden not to drop out of the race yet, but only when others can no longer be nominated.

– Something is being cooked there, that’s for sure.
