Trumps ketchup drama raises questions on social media

The January 6 committee’s latest hearing has raised questions about Donald Trump’s preference for ketchup.

According to a testimony, the former president received an outburst at the dinner table after his minister rejected statements about election fraud.

– Ketchup ran down the wall, says Cassidy Hutchinson, former assistant in the White House.

The reason for the ketchup drama was an interview in which the then Minister of Justice Bill Barr rejected Trump’s allegations of electoral fraud.

When Trump heard about the statement, he was furious, which he showed by throwing his food against the wall. That’s what White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson said during her testimony in one of the January 6 committee hearings. It reports Independent.

– Ketchup ran down the wall and there was a broken porcelain factory on the floor, says Hutchinson who was an assistant to Donald Trump’s last chief of staff Mark Meadows.

– I took a towel and wiped off the ketchup stains to help the waiter, she continues.

“What was on the menu?”

Hutchinson’s testimony has caused many on social media to wonder.

“What was on the menu that day?” writes someone on Twitter. “Why did he need so much ketchup?” writes another.

Donald Trump’s eating habits have been the subject of discussion several times before. He is known for loving fast food in all its forms.

According to information, Trump has lived on chocolate, chips, Coca-Cola light and frying during his time as president, reports Axios. And he is said to prefer his meat well-fried – with ketchup as an accompaniment.

When Trump had dinner at his own restaurant in Washington DC, the staff received clear instructions on how to serve the ketchup. Trump is said to have asked the waiters to open small Heinz glass bottles at the table. This is to ensure that he could hear the “popping” sound when the corks were opened, reports Washingtonian.

Trump’s sour answer

Hutchinson shared another remarkable testimony during the hearing.

During the storming of the Capitol, Trump is said to have become extremely angry when he was denied participation in the protests. Then he tried to take over the steering wheel in his limousine, according to a story told by a White House staffer to Hutchinson.

– I’m damn president, take me to the Capitol now, Trump should have said.

On Trump’s own social media platform “Truth Social”, he has gone out and defended himself after the hearing.

“Her fictional story that I would have tried to grab the steering wheel to drive to the Capitol is sick and false,” he writes.

Trump believes that Hutchinson is both fake, gossipy and “bad news”.

“The story that I threw food is also false … and why would she need to clean up, I barely knew who she was,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
