They have called each other “parasite”, “evil” and “incapable”.
At the same time, Donald Trump needs both of them in his innermost circle.
Now the president wants to mediate between the men, says The New York Times.
Trump’s hasty government meeting this week ended in the big bar when “Efficiency Manager” Elon Musk ended up in hot discussions with both Foreign Minister Marco Rubio and Transport Minister Sean Duffy.
At the same time, the president sat back with his arms crossed and followed the brawl “as if he was watching a tennis match”, writes The New York Times.
Disresents Musk
But government members are not the only ones in Trump’s innermost circle that is in feud with Elon Musk.
Perhaps more serious for the president and his magic base is the battle between the billionaire and Trump’s former adviser Steve Bannon.
Bannon, who previously operated the right site Breitbart News and now conducts public opinion for the president’s agenda with the pod The War Room, has many supporters in the movement and is close to Donald Trump.
At the same time, he detests Trump’s new gunman Musk who, through the leader of the Dogge’s efficiency, has been given the president’s mission to cut into the state apparatus.

He has called the South Africa -born billionaire “an illegal immigrant parasite” and “a truly evil man”, writes The New York Times.
Following the information about the brawl during the government meeting, Bannon suggested The War Room, which is followed by both Trump and many of his allies, that Musk is pulling down the president.
“I don’t want to call him a sink,” Bannon said.
– It’s not it yet, but it trends in that direction. It has started to affect everyone.
Musk, according to The New York Times sources, has private irritation over Bannon’s attacks. In a post on X, he suggested that the former presidential adviser is incapable.
“Bannon is good at talking, but not at doing. What did he have done this week? Nothing, “Musk wrote.
Donald Trump is said to have told Bannon to quit the attacks.

Trump wants to mediate
Bannon is suspicious of Musk, among other things, because of his previous ideological connection to the Democrats and his view of immigration.
Among other things, Musk has advocated highly qualified labor migration.
Donald Trump has made it clear that he wants both men and their respective supporters in the MAGA movement, writes The New York Times.
In a conversation with Bannon, the president told him to stop the attacks.
According to the newspaper’s sources with insight into the dynamics, he wants to mediate peace between Musk and Bannon and get them to sit down together.
The meeting should not have happened yet.
In a statement to The New York Times, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says that “We do not comment on private conversations that may have occurred or did not occur. President Trump is fond of Doges historical work under Elon Musk ”.
