An angry Donald Trump wants party members to act after the historic indictment. On his social media platform “Truth Social,” he calls on Republicans to cut funding to the Justice Department and the FBI — until “they come to their senses,” Reuters reports. As the first ex-president ever, Donald Trump was indicted on Tuesday on 34 counts. Trump is suspected of accounting crimes but denies all crimes – and calls the legal process an “insult to our country”. Immediately after the New York court hearings concluded, Trump headed to La Guardia Airport and took his campaign plane home to Mar-A-Lago in Florida, where he later met with supporters and delivered a speech filled with attacks on “left-wing” prosecutors around in the country. Contrary to previous decisions On Wednesday, Trump has published a post on “Truth Social” in which he addresses Republicans in Congress, reports the Reuters news agency. The ex-president wants the party colleagues to cut funding, partly to the US Department of Justice, partly to the FBI: “UNTIL THEY TAKE THEIR SENSE TO PRISONERS!” Republicans in Congress have previously supported increased funding for the justice system, and if they now listen to Trump, it would mean a sharp turn. Trump himself was behind increased funding for the Department of Justice when he was sitting president, by four percent to over $38 billion, writes Reuters.
