Trump: USA to take control of Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talked on Tuesday with US President Donald Trump in the White House in Washington.

On the agenda was Gaza.

“Gaza is not a place for people to live, and the only reason they want to go back is because they have no alternative,” Trump said during the meeting.

He said he wants there to be a “beautiful and safe area” where Palestinians from Gaza can settle permanently.

– If we could find the right bit of land, and build them some really nice places … I think that would be much better than moving back to Gaza.

After the conversation, a joint press conference was held, where Trump said the United States will take control of the Gaza Strip.

“The United States will own Gaza and we will be responsible for dismantling all dangerous bombs and other weapons on the scene,” Trump says.
