Former President Donald Trump wins the Republican primary in New Hampshire, according to forecasts from AP and Politico.

That gives him an advantage over the only remaining candidate in the race to be nominated for the Republican presidential nomination in the November election against Democrat Joe Biden.

Both the AP and Politico declared Trump the winner in New Hampshire just minutes after the last polls closed. At the time, only a little over a tenth of the votes were counted, but Trump then had an advantage of 6–7 percentage points against Haley, around 52–53 percent versus 46–47 percent for Haley.

The AP declared Trump the winner based on an analysis of early results as well as a poll of Republicans who said they would participate in the primary vote.

Trump led by a wide margin when 25 constituencies were counted, including Manchester and Concord, two of the state’s three largest cities. Early results from more rural areas in the northern and eastern parts of the state also confirm the lead, AP writes.
