Trump, the elected president of the USA, argued that Canada should be included in the USA as the 51st state and said, “We have more than them and we don’t need anything from them. So why are we losing 200 billion dollars a year to protect Canada?” he said.
Claiming that Canadians also want to be part of the USA, Trump also repeatedly used the term “governor” for Trudeau.
Trump stated that the United States could no longer afford the large trade deficits and subsidies that Canada needed to survive, and claimed that this was why Trudeau resigned.
