Now Alvin Bragg, the district attorney in the case, is suing high-ranking Republican Jim Jordan, who is accused of trying to intimidate the prosecutor through political actions.
Jim Jordan, who is chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has announced that the committee will review how Bragg acted in connection with the indictment and the investigation that led to Trump being indicted on 34 counts of accounting violations.
In his lawsuit, Bragg writes that the Constitution in no way gives Congress the right “to monitor, much less interfere with, an ongoing state action” and that Republicans are merely engaging in harassment.
