US President Donald Trump has ordered a break for all military assistance to Ukraine, reports several US media.

All US military equipment currently not in Ukraine is paused, says a high -ranking official within the US Department of Defense for Bloomberg. Several other US media have received the same information.

This also applies to weapons that are on their way to Ukraine on aircraft or vessels, or waiting in transit areas in Poland. US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth has been assigned the task of completing the break.

The break ends only when Trump believes that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj shows a proper commitment to peace.

“The president has made it clear that he is focused on peace. We want our partners to be equally involved in that goal. We pause and review our assistance to ensure that it contributes to a solution, ”says an anonymous source within the White House to CNN.

The message comes days after the hot word rush between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyj in the Oval Room in the White House.

Since the fight on Friday, the mood has been tense between the two leaders, and Trump accuses Zelesknyj of not wanting peace and to sabotage the American’s proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine. Zelenskyj, for his part, has repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine needs security guarantees in order for a lasting peace to become a reality.
