Former US President Donald Trump arrived Thursday evening local time at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia’s capital Atlanta, where he turned himself in to be formally arraigned on a newly approved indictment.
The indictment — one of four cases in which Trump is suspected of a crime — concerns allegations that he tried to influence the state’s 2020 election results.
Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis wants the trial to begin on October 23.
