US president Donald Trump signed on Thursday implementation order to establish a strategic bitcoin reserve.
The administration’s cryptocurrency reserve will consist of digital currencies seized by the United States in the context of criminal procedures, said the “cryptocratic” of the White House David Sacks Message service in X.
The United States intends to preserve the bitcoins placed in the reserve. They serve as “digital gold”.
Bitcoin’s price dropped slightly after the announcement. The market reaction is believed to be due to the fact that investors were disappointed because the United States did not immediately start buying bitcoins on the market.
