Former American President Donald Trump criticizes Israel’s way of conducting the war in Gaza. They post too many pictures of destruction and buildings collapsing, according to Trump.

– They are losing the PR war and they are losing it big, says Trump in an interview with a conservative radio channel according to Politico.

– But they have to finish what they started and they have to do it quickly so that life can go on, says Trump.

Does not benefit Israel

He explains what he means by losing the PR war that the nasty images of buildings being blown up and crushed in attacks also make people think about what’s inside the houses. It does not benefit Israel.

– People see in front of them that there are lots or some people in those houses, says Trump.

During his time as president, Trump was a great advocate for the cause of Israel and he also made the decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. But he has also criticized Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not being prepared for the October 7 terror attack by Hamas. And he has called the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement “very smart.”

Finish the job

A representative of a Jewish organization within the Republican Party, Matt Brooks, told Politico that Trump’s statements will not reduce his support among Republican voters.

– He gives the Israelis carte blanche to finish the job and crush Hamas, but at the same time be aware that time is running out and that support in public opinion for the cause of Israel is deteriorating with each passing day, says Brooks.
