WHAT HAPPENED?
Trump was attacked during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has identified the assailant who attempted to assassinate Trump as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who lives in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
After the explosion sounds were heard, Trump was seen holding his right ear at the podium, and Secret Service officers were caught on camera running towards him.
In a statement following the incident, Trump reported that his condition was “good” and that he was being examined at a health institution.
The prosecutor’s office said the gunman and at least one other rally attendee were killed.
