Truls Möregårdh is ready for the quarter-finals of the WTT table tennis tournament in Beijing.
The Swedish star defeated Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto 3–2 in sets – an opponent he lost to in the Olympics.
It was a really even fight there Truls Möregårdh took the first set before Tomokazu Harimoto then won two straight. But then Möregårdh turned around and won 3–2 in the set.
– A really tough match. All sets were even. I am very happy about the victory, says Möregårdh in the broadcast.

With the victory, Möregårdh got revenge against Harimoto. They both met in the summer Olympics in Paris in the semi-finals of the team competition. Then it was Harimoto who won 3–1. However, Sweden won the match and got to play in the final.
For Anton Källbergwho was ultimately the big hero then, it stopped in the round of 16 in Beijing. He fell in a tight five-setter against the sixth-seeded Chinese Lin Shidong.
