Möregårdh’s feat gold winner
Who Möregårdh thinks should win the achievement gold is a bit difficult for him to answer, as he does not completely buy the conditions of the award.
– With the Sports Gala, it is very special that you compare different sports with each other and so on. So I actually don’t know. We all deserve our own achievement gold in our different ways.

Do you think that you in the national table tennis team deserved the gold medal?
– I think we have deserved it a few times now in recent years, with both WC silver for me, WC gold in doubles, and now EC gold. But it is clear that we have absolutely fantastic athletes in Sweden, which we should be very happy about. We must try to tear down the Chinese wall as the others (the national table tennis team with Jan-Ove Waldner, Mikael Appelgren, Jörgen Persson, Erik Lindh and Peter Karlsson who won the feat gold in 1989) did. Then it would probably be clear, says Möregårdh.
