An unbeatable Truls Möregårdh led the club to a 14th SM gold after 2–0 in matches against Söderhamn.

Truls Möregårdh thereby maintaining their unbeaten streak in the table tennis league after two more victories in what would be the decisive final match.

Möregårdh has won 67 straight matches in the league, no other men’s player is close to the more than three-year winning streak.
– This is magical. I’m super happy, says Möregårdh after securing the SM gold.

Eslövs AI won in two straight matches against the reigning champions Söderhamns UIF. Both final matches ended 4–0 in the Scanian club’s favour.
– It is clear that I feel that I have great pressure to always win my matches. At the same time, I feel safe with the team, says Truls Möregårdh.

The last SM gold for Eslöv came in 2019. Since then they have lost two finals and after last year’s final loss against Söderhamn, the desire for revenge was enormous.
– It has been a long wait and a couple of tough losses. Of course, it feels very good to be able to decide, says Möregårdh.
