Nothing makes 11-year-old table tennis player Vincent Lundberg lose his composure.
Except possibly a greeting from his great idol, Truls Möregårdh.
– It was fun, says the 11-year-old in Efter fem.

There is table tennis fever in Sweden after the successes in the Olympics for Kristian Karlsson, Anton Källberg and Truls Möregårdh.

There was a silver in the team final against China and Truls Möregårdh also managed to win a silver medal of her own in the singles final against China’s Fan Zehndong.

And the growth of Swedish table tennis already seems to be secured. P4 Västmanland reports on 11-year-old Vincent Lundberg, who is not content to meet peers at the ping-pong table. He also shoots adults if he feels like it.

Dreaming of the Olympics

Next week, the 11-year-old goes to Strasbourg to represent Sweden in the world’s biggest tournament for 11-13-year-olds, Euro Mini Champs.

– I dream of running the Olympics like Truls and going to the final and crushing some Chinese and winning gold, says Vincent Lundberg.

And what could be better motivation on the road than a greeting from the great idol Truls Möregårdh?
