Trucks were stationary on the E6 outside Landskrona – now the traffic is moving again

The first calls about the traffic jam came in to the police at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Then several lorries would have had problems getting up the Glumslövsbacken just after the Landskrona Södra interchange.

– According to the alarm that came to us, it is about trucks blocking the traffic, says Lina Friberg, press spokesperson at the police.

According to the police, there was a complete standstill in the traffic in the northbound direction and it created very long queues. At 10 o’clock, the road was closed to traffic between Landskrona Södra and Landskrona Norra in order to remove the stationary vehicles.

Rescuers on site

– So-called heavy lifters are on site to remove the trucks, said Pär Aronsson, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration, during the morning.

According to him, it is slippery at the site and this means that the trucks do not manage to get up the slopes.

– It has frozen on cold roads and then the heavy traffic often has problems, he says.

Additional traffic problems

Around the same time as the trucks got stuck, a collision occurred at Löddeköpinge, also on the E6 in the northbound direction.

– This is about three cars that seem to be involved in some kind of side impact, says Lina Friberg.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in that accident.
