At 14.52 the police were alerted that a truck had driven into a sinkhole on Ystadsgatan in Malmö.
– We send a patrol there and find that it is stuck and needs to be lifted free, says Filip Annas, the police’s spokesperson for salvage.
Salvage work continued throughout the afternoon and it took until 10 p.m. in the evening before the truck could be removed from the hole.
No one is reported to have been injured and it is unclear what caused the sinkhole.
The police do not suspect any crime in connection with the incident.
