As the community found out, there is a trick for a 100% catch chance in Pokémon GO. New findings show that this trick doesn’t work on all Pokémon.
What trick is it? There is a special feature in Pokémon GO that is known from the games in the main series. Although this so-called “bargain catch”, or “critical catch” in English, has been integrated into the game for many years, there has been little information about it so far.
How does the trick work? While this triggers randomly in the main games, a trainer on Reddit recently presented his method for guaranteed triggering of the bargain catch. To do this, you have to hit a Pokémon with a Pokéball at the right moment.

Since the player’s discovery, the community has been busy exploring the details of the feature. Diligent trainers on Reddit have now found out which Pokémon have unfortunately not been activated.

Bargain Catching doesn’t work on all Pokémon
Which Pokémon does the trick not work on? As the community found out, the bargain catch doesn’t work for Pokémon that you can catch after a raid. With wild Pokémon, however, the trick has so far been successfully tested and confirmed by the community.
Does bargain hunting work for Galar birds? So far there is no guarantee whether the trick will work with the rare, legendary Galar birds. It can be assumed that these are not raid Pokémon, but rather wild, albeit rare and legendary Pokémon. The trick would offer great added value, especially with the three Galar birds, as they are very rare and difficult to catch.
Does the bargain catch work on legendary Pokémon from the Battle League? There is still no conclusive knowledge as to whether the trick works with legendary Pokémon that you can receive as rewards in the Battle League. However, since you don’t have to use special Poké Balls for these as in raids and these Pokémon cannot escape, the trick is probably not of the greatest importance here.
