On April 25, 2023, we learned of the disappearance, at age 96, of a great artist: Harry Belafonte. Singer, actor, activist, he was in all the battles. He will support the civil rights movement alongside Martin Luther King. It will accompany Miriam Makeba’s first steps in the United States. He will espouse the anti-apartheid cause of his South African brothers. He will participate in many charities including the famous album, USA For Africa, initiated by Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones. He will become an ambassador to Amnesty International and will become an icon, a sage, whom we listen to and respect.
