(Finance) – The new connections are on sale from 25 Junei Frecciarossa to and from Fiumicino Airport for trips starting from Monday 11 July.
As had already been announced during the presentation of the Trenitalia Summer Experiencethree new Frecciarossa connections are added to the Frecce to and from Venice, Padua, Bologna, Florence and Rome, to the Leonardo Express direct between Fiumicino and Rome Termini and to the numerous regional connections of the FL1 Fiumicino Airport – Rome – Orte line.
In detail – we read on FS News, the information portal of the Ferrovie dello Stato Group – passengers can already purchase Frecciarossa connections to and from Napoli Centrale on all Trenitalia sales channels – an absolute novelty is the direct connection with the Campania capital – and an original connection from Florence that allows arrival at Fiumicino Airport in the early hours of the morning: Frecciarossa 8335 Fiumicino Airport 9.38 – Napoli Centrale 11.33; Frecciarossa 8334 Naples Central 5.45 – Fiumicino Airport 7.52; Frecciarossa 9591 Florence Santa Maria Novella 07.05 – Fiumicino Airport 09.22.
THE connections and timetables have been studied together with Aeroporti di Roma to locate the better integration between Trenitalia’s Frecce and intercontinental flights arriving and departing from the main Roman airport. The activation of the new connections is part of the agreement signed by Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and Aeroporti di Roma to develop sustainable intermodality and integration between train and plane. A mission, that of a better union between collective and shared means of transport, at the center of the activities of the Passenger Hub of the FS Group which brings together all the transport companies of the Group and of which Trenitalia is the leader.
THE new Frecciarossa are an integral part of the travel experience that Trenitalia wants to offer its passengers also by joining the three access gates of the country, railway stations, airports and ports, and will continue through the experimentation of passenger and baggage check-in directly at the departure railway station.
