Someone or a few have cut down completely newly planted trees during the Christmas holiday.
The discovery was made on Monday.
The knowledge park is 21 hectares and contains a forest garden, a lake, meadows and playground. The park is Lund’s newest park and was inaugurated in August last summer.
No arrests
The incident has been reported to the police and is classified as aggravated vandalism.
Lund’s city gardener Karl-Oscar Seth says South Sweden that the price tag for the trees is expensive.
– It really feels very sad, he tells the newspaper and states that each tree costs at least SEK 10,000.
There are currently no suspects in the case.
