Treasury placed 4 billion BTPs with falling yields

(Finance) – The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has placed 2.5 billion euro of 2-year BTPs, for which demand reached € 3.991 billion, corresponding to a coverage ratio of 1.60. According to the report provided by the Bank of Italy, the gross yield settled at 2.88%, that is 39 basis points lower to that of the previous similar auction, which dates back to 27 September.

They were also placed 750 million euro of 5-year BTPs (indexed). The demand was equal to 1.163 billion, for a coverage ratio of 1.55. The gross yield is 1.09%.

Finally, they were placed 750 million euros of 10-year BTPs (indexed), for which demand reached 1.174 billion, corresponding to a coverage ratio of 1.57. The gross yield settled at 2.22%, that is 23 basis points lower to that of the previous similar auction, which dates back to 27 September.
