Treasury, issued new 15-year BTP for 5 billion

MEF tax and social security income 129 in January February

(Finance) – The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) communicated the results of the issue of the first tranche of the new 15-year BTP. The bond matures on March 1, 2038, with dividend rights on March 1, 2022 and an annual rate of 3.25%, paid in two half-yearly coupons. The settlement of the transaction is set for May 31st. The amount issued was equal to 5 billion euros. The bond was placed at a price of 99.651 corresponding to an annual gross yield at issue of 3.305%.

The placement was carried out through a syndicateconsisting of five lead managers, Barclays Bank Ireland PLC, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, JP Morgan SE, Nomura Financial Products Europe GmbH and UniCredit and the remaining Italian Government Bond Specialists as co-lead managers.
