Tre Kronor entered the hockey World Cup with a completely new leadership organization and with new national team captains Sam Hallam at the head. It also started very well in his very first championship with the Swedish national team with six straight victories.

Renberg’s criticism
A big fiasco for Sweden and after the match the criticism was huge. The SVT expert Mikael Renberg was really disappointed with Tre Kronor’s effort when it came time for the decision in the hockey World Cup and above all how the team building looked.
– The times Sweden has won WC gold, there have always been some real top players, says Renberg in the SVT studio.

When you apply for this job, you know that it is a match that determines whether you get approved or not. We didn’t win today, that’s how it is, says Boumedienne to Sportbladet.

There has been a lot of talk about which NHL Swedes did not appear there Elias Pettersson, Rasmus Dahlin and William Nylander have been the big names that didn’t make it to this year’s hockey World Cup due to various reasons. – I think that is a rather weak claim. This is what sport looks like sometimes, we think we are the better team and have sharp players.
