On one side the river Vecht, on the other side a white monumental building with the large letters ‘WS’ – or the initials of Ward Strootman. It is no coincidence that Ward has had his workplace and exhibition on the continuous Rijksstraatweg in Nieuwersluis for a year now. “Here you have the full experience of the Vecht. I have the space, I can have lunch with customers on the Vecht, which I missed in Amsterdam. This is where the art comes into its own.”
