While Morocco has extended the closure of its borders until January 31, 2022, the national company Royal Air Maroc has canceled all its international flights.

This decision follows the surge in cases of Covid-19 and the appearance of the Omicron variant. Passenger maritime links are also suspended.
After organizing repatriation flights last December, the national company Royal Air Maroc (RAM) decided to cancel all its international flights until the end of the month. In a press release published on social networks, she explains: “Following the information communicated by the General Directorate of Moroccan Civil Aviation, Royal Air Maroc international flights to and from Morocco will be canceled in both directions from January 01, 2022 at 00:00, until January 31, 2022 at 11:59 “. If you had to leave during this period, Royal Air Maroc offers you a free change, from / to the same destination or another of the RAM network in the same geographical area (Africa, North America, Europe, Middle East) for a new date. travel during the 15 days following the resumption of flights, A change without penalty with application of the fare difference, from / to the same destination or another of the RAM network in the same geographical area for a new travel date between the 16th day after the date of resumption of flights and October 31, 2022 or a credit valid for 12 months.
After months of a state of emergency and a stop to tourism in order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, Morocco reopened its air borders in mid-June 2021. However, the Kingdom took the decision to suspend the all flights from and to France until at least January 31, 2022 following the outbreak of Covid-19 cases in France.
In agreement with the Moroccan authorities, RAM will offer special repatriation flights from Morocco during the month of January to France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Mauritania. On the other hand, no repatriation flight to Morocco has been announced for the time being.

Unvaccinated French (and other foreigners) passing through Morocco must carry out a 10-day controlled quarantine, at their expense, in one of the structures previously designated by the Moroccan authorities, with a control PCR test on the 9th day.
The Moroccan government announced in mid-November the lifting of the national curfew in force for more than a year because of “the improvement of the epidemiological situation” in the kingdom. This decision follows “the positive results achieved within the framework of the national vaccination campaign”, explains the government in a press release.
Restaurants, cinemas and theaters, as well as public swimming pools, have again reopened in Morocco. Wearing a compulsory mask remains compulsory and police checks have been stepped up in recent weeks in various cities across the country.
All the beaches in Morocco are officially authorized to access, while respecting physical distancing.
Flights will be operated in both directions (France-Morocco and Morocco-France) since the reopening of Morocco’s borders on June 15 by French and Moroccan airlines which should be contacted for all reservations and information. It is therefore no longer necessary to go through the French consulates to travel by plane.
