ANVR chairman Frank Oostdam said this morning on Radio M Utrecht that the airport has not responded to the situation. “That is the accusation that we make at Schiphol. It leads to great frustration among those waiting and large costs for travel organizations and airlines.” Schiphol could see the crowds coming. “In view of our booking figures, we knew in advance that people would like to go on holiday, especially during the May holiday. Airlines and Schiphol know that too.”
