(Finance) – Wizz Air inaugurated six new routes from Italy to some of the European destinations most sought after in view of the arrival of the summer season. On March 31, the first flights departed from Rome to Hamburg and Berlin, as well as from Milan to Paris. The following day, Wizz Air inaugurated flights from Rome to Alicante and Gdansk. Finally, today, April 2, the first WIZZ flight connecting Milan and Tenerife took off.
THE flights between Milan and Tenerife they will leave three times a week, while the Milan – Paris connection it will be served five times a week, until offering a daily frequency starting from June. The routes Rome – Alicante And Rome – Gdansk will be served by three weekly flights, which will increase to four weekly flights starting from August and September respectively. The Rome – Hamburg connection will be available thanks to four return flights per week, while Rome – Berlin will have a daily frequency.
In addition to the new routes, Wizz Air is preparing to inaugurate the flights from Rome to Copenhagen starting in September. In total, during this summer season, they will be active over 200 routes from Italy to 40 countries in Europe and not only that, thanks to the over 13 million seats available for travellers. Numbers which – Wizz Air underlines in a note – further strengthen the company’s position in Italy, increasing its market share compared to the previous year
Furthermore, Wizz Air will offer special flights for Italian passengers on the occasion of matches of the European Football Championship in Germany, also providing an exclusive shuttle service for fans. Flights for the matches will depart from Milan and Rome on 15, 20 and 24 June.
