Transport FS Italian Tourist Trains from mid October alternative Rome Florence connections

(Finance) – Theautumn offer of FS Treni Turistici Italianicompany of FS Italiane Groupis enriched with an important new feature: the Rome–Assisi daytime express will be extended to Florence for all Sunday connections, from October 13th to December 1stand up to Arezzo for trips scheduled on Saturdays from 12 to 30 November.

The departure of the Roma Termini-Arezzo is scheduled at 10.05am with arrival at 1.55pm, while the return will be at 5.04pm with arrival at 9.35pm. Trips from Rome Termini to Florence, however, will depart at 8.30am with arrival at 1.13pm, while the return is scheduled for 2.09pm with arrival at 7.10pm. The train will stop in Perugia and Arezzo; locations which join Terni, Spoleto, Foligno, Spello and Assisi.

The new extension of the daytime Express represents a ‘slow and scenic’ alternative with high historical and landscape interest and concretizes the commitment of FS Treni Turistici Italiani to enhance a different way of traveling with particular attention to slow, quality tourism and sustainability.

This daytime Espresso has 6-seater compartments and lounges, which can also be booked for exclusive use, with 4 large armchairs. In the center of the train there is a bar/restaurant carriage where you can enjoy breakfast, an aperitif or dinner, comfortably seated in the lounge. Furthermore, on all FS Treni Turistici Italiani Express trains there is a baggage car in which you can load luggage or sports equipment.

Even in October it will be possible to benefit, by choosing the ‘TTI Special’ fare, a 50% discount on all tickets purchased within 48 hours of departure. Tickets for the new stops will be available from 7 October on the website and on all sales channels Trenitalia, App, station and self-service ticket offices.
