Transformers is getting a new movie this year, but the community doesn’t know what to think about it

Today the first trailer for the new Transformers film: Transformers One was released. This is an animated film. The community reacts to this with mixed feelings.

Today, April 18, 2024, the first trailer for Transformers One was released, making it the eighth film in the well-known sci-fi action film series.

After the last live-action film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, was released in June 2023, an animated film about the giant robots is coming this year. The community isn’t quite sure if this is a good thing yet.

How does the community react? Mixed. Opinions are somewhat divided under the English and German trailer on YouTube.

Several users find the animation style “takes getting used to,” while others react very excitedly and optimistically to the Transformers One trailer for this very reason. Some are just happy about a Transformers film without any humans.

    • What will the new film be about? Transformers One is a prequel that revolves around the two Transformers Orion Pax aka Optimus Prime and D-16 aka Megatron and their shared past.

    Both were once best friends who stood up for each other on their home planet Cypertron. But then a conflict arises with the leader Sentinel Prime. The friends become enemies and the fate of the Transformers is at stake.

    Who is involved in the film? Josh Cooley, who was also responsible for Toy Story 4, is directing. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are listed as producers, who are creating the film in a co-production with Hasbro.

    In the English version, Thor star Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry (Bullet Train) play the two main roles, Optimus Prime and D-16/Megatron. Keegan-Michael Key, Scarlett Johansson and Jon Hamm can also be heard.

    When does Transformers One start? You can watch the new Transformers film this year. It will be released in German cinemas on October 10, 2024.
