At Transavia, as with most airlines, registration, or “check in”, can be done in two ways: online, or at the airport. L’Online registration, which opens 30 hours before departure and closes 4 hours before flight take-off, has the advantage of being fast and saving you time at the airport. Indeed, if you have baggage in the hold, all you have to do is drop it off at the baggage drop counter. Otherwise, if you only have one luggage, go directly to security checks and then to the boarding gate, with your boarding pass (which you will have downloaded to your phone if you have checked in on your mobile). But you can also check in for free at the airport, at a Transavia check-in counter. Note that at Paris-Orly, self-service check-in kiosks are the only way to check-in. If you need to check in at the airport, allow sufficient leeway. For example, if you are leaving from Paris-Orly or Lyon, check-in is open from 2:30 to 40 minutes before departure for a flight to a Schengen destination (60 minutes for a flight to a non-Schengen destination).
Operating mainly from its bases in Paris-Orly, Lyon and Nantes, Transavia also serves Bergerac, Ajaccio, Chambéry, Grenoble, Montpellier, Nice and Toulon in France. From Paris-Orly airport, Transavia offers medium-haul low-cost flights to 50 destinations in Europe and the Mediterranean basin. If you have not checked in online, be aware that at the airport you will not find a dedicated check-in counter, but self-service kiosks. You will need your reservation number and passport in order to obtain your boarding pass. If you want to place baggage in the hold, head to the baggage drop-off. Otherwise, head to the boarding gates. Time-wise, check-in at Paris-Orly for Transavia flights is open from 2h30 to 40 minutes before departure for a flight to a Schengen destination, and from 2h30 to 60 minutes for a trip outside the Schengen area.
From Lyon St-Exupéry airport, Transavia serves 11 destinations with low cost flights to Algiers, Athens, Madeira, Port, Seville or Tel Aviv. As at Paris-Orly, check-in at the airport takes place from 2h30 to 40 minutes before departure for a flight to a Schengen destination (60 minutes for a flight to a non-Schengen destination). Departures are from Terminal 3 of the airport.
Departures of Transavia from Nantes-Atlantique airport are made from Terminal 3 to 14 destinations, of which Athens, Berlin, Lisbon, Madrid, Malta, Port or Venice. For check-in, the counters are open from 2 hours to 40 minutes before departure for a flight to a Schengen destination. For destinations outside the Schengen area, they open a little earlier, i.e. 2h30 before take-off.
