In 2016, Van Sas exchanged Hercules for FC Utrecht. Then after four years, after interest from several clubs, to make a transfer to Manchester City. “That step was huge. It took a lot of getting used to. In the first year I lived with a host family, which was nice and fun. It was a real English family. But yes, of course I was going to live in a completely foreign country on I was 16. I sometimes thought what am I doing to myself, but I’m very glad I did it.”
