According to VLT fireworks were thrown between the heel sections and after a rush from Djurgård supporters during the break, the start of the second half was postponed.
When further disturbances arose in the 67th minute of the match, the match was broken for good at 0–0.
– During the break, two pyrotechnic pieces were fired at Västerås’ heel from Djurgården’s and we then called a meeting. Then we gave them a second chance to continue the match, unfortunately the zoos couldn’t stay in the stands, five or six ran in and then it was decided that the match was cancelled, says Västerås SK’s security manager Jerry Nilsson to Discovery.
Västerås’ home arena is being equipped for the Allsvenskan comeback and in the meantime, the heel sections are located close to each other.
