Trainers find evidence of new legendary forms in the Pokédex

Two new, special forms for the legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh region could soon appear in Pokémon GO.

This is the clue: In the Pokémon GO subreddit, user “2020Zombie” shared a screenshot from Pokémon GO version 0.291.0. The Pokédex entry for Dialga and Palkia can be seen there. And where you could look at the different variants of the Pokémon, two new lines of text:

  • form_dialga_normal and form_dialga_origin at Dialga
  • form_palkia_normal and form_palkia_origin in Palkia

According to the current status, the obviously unfinished lines are no longer displayed in the Pokédex – an indication that this was probably an unintentional display. But the two forms are also mentioned with the update on the data miners from the Pokeminers, the remaining Discord server.

Overall, the find gives other players hope that the two special forms of Palkia and Dialga could soon come into play.

What are these forms for Palkia and Dialga?

These are the forms: The “Origin” form is known in German as “Urform”. These forms for Palkia and Dialga first appeared as bosses in “Pokémon Legends: Arceus.”

These forms are considered the “true form” of the two Pokémon and are somewhat similar to the Creator Pokémon Arceus.

Dialga is the ruler of time:

Palkia is the ruler of space:

How could this be implemented in Pokémon GO? That is still unclear, as is when the forms come into play. In Legends: Arceus, the “Adamantine Crystal” could be used to formshift on Dialga, while “White Crystal” was used on Palkia.

In Pokémon GO there are currently a variety of shape-changing Pokémon, such as Zygarde or other representatives, where the shape change is handled differently. It remains to be seen what this will ultimately look like in Pokémon GO.

When will you come? One can only speculate about this at the moment. Initial assumptions have recently been making the rounds that there could be a Sinnoh tour in the coming months, which would fit in with the release. However, nothing official is known here yet. It would at least fit after the Kanto, Johto and Hoenn tours in recent years.

As soon as there is new information about this, we will keep you updated!
