Some Pokémon in Pokémon GO are rarer than others. A trainer has now snapped up one of the rarest ones – with values that you couldn’t wish for better.
Which Pokémon is it about? In the Pokémon GO subreddit, a trainer is currently delighting the community with a picture showing the result of his most recent swap.
The monster is Mewtwo – but not just any monster, but the one with the armor. You can view the post here:
But that’s not all: As the trainer “Wonderful-Ear-5003” proves, he not only got the rare monster, but was also extremely lucky. The swap triggered a random “Lucky Swap,” meaning it is now a Lucky Pokémon that can be leveled up for significantly less Stardust.
And because that’s not enough: the monster also got perfect values when the values were re-rolled during the exchange. In short: He now has one of the rarest and most sought-after monsters in the game, and it is “perfect”. As the trainer describes it, it’s the first “perfect lucky Pokémon” he’s ever gotten. What a start to a collection!
What makes Armor Mewtwo so special?
In the comments, trainers are visibly impressed. You read comments like:
But what makes the monster so special?
The answer: On the one hand, it is simply Mewtwo in a special form that can also be strong in the PvP league thanks to its high defensive values. The armor variant is also iconic because it appeared in the original Pokémon film Mewtwo vs. Mew and its 2019 remake.
But the main reason is that this monster only existed in Pokémon GO for a very short time – and that was a long time ago. The Pokémon first appeared to coincide with the release of the Pokémon film remake and Pokémon Day in 2019, after which it appeared again in February 2020.
In the meantime you can only hope to get it in one way, just like the coach in the post: through an exchange. And if he also has such values, that is of course the main prize.
Basically, Armor Mewtwo is one of a series of Pokémon that could like to come back after a long time. This also includes the monster Zarude – but his return was recently announced.
