The monsters in Pokémon GO vary in strength and have many uses. A player now summarizes which are the most useful Pokémon in the game overall.
What Makes a Useful Pokemon? There are different factors to consider in Pokémon GO.
The type of a monster plays an important role. A strong Fire monster can be very good against Plant-types, but loses when fighting Water.
In addition, there are questions such as the speed of attacks, the strength of the attacks, the stamina in terms of defensive values and life points.
Some monsters are particularly strong in raids, others in PvP, others are good arena defenders, and some are only suitable as Pokédex entries.
A trainer at reddit has now summarized these factors and created a list of the most useful monsters in Pokémon GO.
What are the overall most useful Pokemon in Pokemon GO?
This is the list: The user iSporE had already written a first post on reddit at the end of August 2022, which summarized the overall “most useful” Pokémon. This bill has had two updates over time – the most recent being December 30, 2022.
In its calculation, iSporE distributes points for factors such as type effectiveness, the strength of the monsters in raids, in the PvP league and as an arena defender and summarizes them.
The user refers to data from the Pokebattler databases for raids, PvPoke for PvP and the in-game stats for arena defenders. It is assumed that the monster is level 50.
In the end, the following list will come out according to the current status. According to the user’s calculations, the currently most useful monsters in Pokémon GO are as follows:
Looking at the most useful monsters per type, according to iSporE, these are:
One notices: The improved attack value of Crypto Pokémon should not be neglected.
Are some monsters missing? It is noticeable that the strongest attackers of each type are not always represented. Also missing are some Legendaries that you might expect.
iSporE explains in its post that this is achieved by combining the categories. Some Legendary, Crypto, or Mega Monsters lose points because they can’t be used in Gyms, for example, or because they’re just too weak defensively there.
What are the most useful monsters in raids?
Most useful monsters in raids: The user also took a closer look at the raids. If you only look at the general use in raids, the top 10 according to iSporE looks different again:
In addition, the user has also made more specific lists. In his post on reddit he shows lists of different type effectiveness, pvp monsters and arena defenders, also you can see the basic excel spreadsheet. You can find the full post from iSporE here (via reddit).
According to the user, what is still missing in the calculation is the inclusion of effectiveness against Team Rocket.
What should you keep in mind with these lists?
Obviously, the monsters shown are always very useful and good monsters. However, one should note that in special cases it is important to bet on the right monster and, for example, to include the type in raids.
When assembling your raid teams for specific bosses, it’s better to use the most powerful attackers of each type. The list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO will help you with this.
Still, it’s interesting to see which monsters are the most useful across all categories. What do you think of the list? Can you understand the assessments? Tell us in the comments!
