A trainer has probably completed the toughest research in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you which trainer it’s about and what research is involved.
What research is this? The masterpiece research Gratitude Glimmer has been available since February. You could purchase these in the shop as part of the Path to Sinnoh event for €5.99. Once you have done this, you will have as much time as you need to complete the research.
In addition to items, experience points and stardust, research brings you a special reward: an encounter with a Shiny Shaymin.
There were already Masterpiece Researches that rewarded you with other mysterious Shiny Pokémon, such as Mew or Jirachi. These researches contain tasks for which you have to plan a very long time.

Which trainer is this? The trainer is the YouTuber MYSTIC7. He is known for his videos about the game and is one of the biggest Pokémon GO YouTubers.
In the video, he shows the dedication with which he completes the Masterpiece Research, which is considered by many trainers to be the hardest Pokémon GO Research to date. He also says that the first part of the research alone took him over a month.

What is the difficulty with research? In order to successfully complete the Masterpiece Research, 7 sections must be successfully completed. The biggest difficulty here is probably the first step.
In this section you have to catch 492 Pokémon, each discovered in the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh regions. Not only do you have to catch a total of 1,968 Pokémon, but the Pokémon also have to come from the corresponding regions.
This step will probably take a lot of time for most trainers who want to complete the research.
