Train stop in central Stockholm – no trains running

There are major delays in train traffic past Stockholm’s central station following an extensive electrical fault.
– There will be traffic but with major delays, says Lina Edström, press contact at SJ to TV4 Nyheterna.

A downed contact line has caused a major electrical fault in central Stockholm. Train traffic to and from Stockholm Central is affected by the electrical fault.

The stop affects the long-distance and regional trains, but the commuter trains run as usual.

– Customers affected by canceled departures can rebook or cancel their trips at no extra cost, says Lina Hedström, press communicator at SJ.

There is currently no forecast for when the trains can start running again.

– We have maintenance contractors who work on site, says Felicia Danielsson press spokesperson at the Swedish Transport Agency.

Within the next three hours, 33 trains may be affected if the stop continues, according to SJ.
