“Child soldiers” arrested at Malmö central station • Travelers heard the boys discussing the murder plans
Two boys from Stockholm are suspected of having been recruited to commit a murder in Malmö.
On the train, they are said to have discussed the attack plans and revealed themselves – fellow passengers overheard and alerted the police, according to information to TV4 Nyheterna.
– When the train then rolled into Malmö central, both could be arrested and the crime prevented, says a source.
Malmö has been classified by the police as “red” after the recent wave of violence in the city. The conflict situation in the serious criminal environment is described as serious.
Among other things, a wave of suspected recruited teenage killers has hit Malmö. In just over a week, six young people have been arrested and three murders prevented.
In one of the cases, the murder plans were averted on the evening of September 5 when two suspected “child soldiers”, aged 14 and 16 respectively, were arrested at Malmö Central Station for preparation for murder. TV4 Nyheterna can now report new information from the investigation.
Discussed the assassination plans on the train
The two teenage boys are natives of Stockholm and on the day in question took the train to Malmö – according to the suspicions to commit the act of violence for which they had been recruited.
But on the Malmö train, the “child soldiers” are said to have discussed the intended murder, the mission they had undertaken to carry out.
Other passengers on the train must have heard the boys’ plans – and secretly called 112, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna. When the duo arrived in Malmö later in the evening, the police were able to pounce and arrest the teenagers at the central station.
The hiding place: Printer’s apartment
After the arrests, the police task force had several night raids in the Malmö area and house searches were carried out at the addresses.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, it must have been about the murder plans being described as so detailed that, among other things, a so-called “printer’s apartment” had been rented. A hiding place where the boys would have been waiting for orders to carry out the deed.
The 14-year-old is handed over to social services as he is not of legal age, while the 16-year-old is in custody following a decision by the Malmö district court. The older of them has confessed to the crime.
