A train has collided with a truck outside Järpen. The alarm about the accident came at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, writes Länstidningen Östersund and Östersunds-Posten.
A large rescue team was dispatched to the scene.
It was the driver of the passenger train who raised the alarm about the accident.
– There does not seem to be anyone on the train who is directly physically affected, but those on board must be checked, says Jörgen Eriksson, officer on duty at the rescue service to TT.
There are no reports that anyone in the truck was injured.
At the moment there is a stop in the train traffic between Järpen and Undersåker. Among other things, the traffic between Storlien and Östersund/Sundsvall is affected.
