DC has long since stopped standing only for Superman’s nobility. Ever since The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker series, dirty antiheroes have been on the rise. They will apparently remain so in the newly created DC Universe: This is what the first trailer for Creature Commandos, who follows in the footsteps of The Boys.

The Boys lesson learned: DC ushers in new universe with torture and insults
The animated series Creature Commandos revolves around the eponymous strike force, which takes on dangerous missions under the leadership of the notorious Amanda Waller (original voice: Viola Davis). Waller’s Suicide Squad and Team Peacemaker were scrapped as too inhumane. But as the leader explains in the trailer about the Creature Commandos, “these assholes are not human“.
Insults, middle fingers, electro-torture and probably a lot of bloodshed: As the trailer suggests, the animated series is aimed more at adult viewers. Those who can relate to the dirty and unbridled tone of The Boys.
When is Creature Commandos coming to Germany?
Creature Commandos is scheduled to be released in the US on Max (formerly HBO Max) in December 2024. In this country, the series has so far neither a streaming home nor a launch date. The characters are based on a comic book that began in 1980.
