A new MMORPG from South Korea announces its official name and shows its first gameplay in a new trailer. The game is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and former TERA developers are working on it.
What kind of game is this? The new MMORPG from South Korea was until recently known as “Project TS”. Now the developers have announced the official name: “The Starlight”. This shows that they are taking a big step towards publication.
You take on the role of many heroes who come from different dimensions to find the “Starlight”.

TERA developers are working on a new MMORPG
Behind “The Starlight” are the development studio Game Tales and Com2uS, a fairly big name in the gaming industry in South Korea.
What sets Game Tales apart is that many veterans of MMORPG development in Korea have come together in this studio. Former developers of the well-known MMORPGs TERA and Cabal Online are working on this new title.
Expectations for The Starlight could definitely rise a bit with this information.
What awaits you in The Starlight: The trailer already gives you a little insight into the world created. You can see a small village in the countryside, a dry desert or a huge fortress in the mountains. Visually, the game should definitely appeal to some fantasy fans.
The fact that Unreal Engine 5 is used for development makes the game interesting. This is intended to create a very graphically appealing gameplay and Com2uS promises to use the engine to create a large open world that is simply beautiful to look at.
The trailer also shows you how the gameplay should fit into this world. The character and the opponents fit in pretty well with the environment and can keep up graphically at first glance.
You get to see two characters in action. A younger woman, with colorful braids, presumably throws magical knives at her enemies, while another woman attacks from a distance with firearms. The trailer doesn’t show exactly how you control your character and their abilities, but the gameplay definitely looks fast-paced and action-packed.
When does it appear? When and for which platforms The Starlight will be released is not yet officially known. According to various reports, players should be able to prepare for a PC release.
